While at the Graduation Ceremony this morning, a graduant came by very late and had difficulty putting on his tie as well as his gown. He asked if I could help him. So, starting with the tie, I knotted it up for him, followed by cowering up his gown, pinning up each hook so that he would look the smartest ever in his days at the Polytechnic.
Before he left the room, he apologized to me for being late and had to trouble me to help him dress up. After which he dashed to join the procession ceremony.
This young man probably doesn’t know – the happiest thing that can ever happen to an educator, is to put on a graduation gown for his student.
Today he gave me the privilege. I ought to thank him.
